The Role: The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible to ensure that our products and our processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Supervisor supports production, makes justified decisions, escalates, and communicates emerging and trending quality concerns to the appropriate supporting team. The Quality Assurance Supervisor collaborates with Production, Safety, Maintenance and Engineering to continuously improve the overall quality performance. Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities): Manage and lead a team of quality processing auditor's that perform process quality tests and ensure production process runs in conformity to specified standards, regulations, and customer requirements with the aim of ensuring an optimal flow of logistical and manufacturing processes with regard to quality, yield, throughput, costs, occupational safety, health and environmental protection. Support MRB (Material Review Board) production process to ensure all non-conformant material is correctly disposed and processed. Support layered process audits to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement in the process, as well as verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. Provide training/induction of employees at defined workplace, including the new quality inspector regarding policies, procedures, and inspection techniques. Escalates report, communicates and leads reaction/initiation of countermeasures in the event of deviations from the defined goals/KPI. Shift takeover/handover to the previous/following shift including checking the QC lab for order and cleanliness - 5s. Participation in the continuous improvement process and taking on sub-projects in the area of quality assurance. Active participation in updating work instructions / procedural instructions and testing instruction. Plan, coordinate and perform process capability measurements and in-process inspection measurements. Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Support internal, customer, and third-party regulatory audits. Maintain integrity of SPC data by correcting input errors, maintaining control limits, creating new files, and retraining as needed. May inspect, measure, and test raw material in accordance with blueprints, requirements or engineering sketches. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned You bring : High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Minimum six years related experience in inspection, process audits, manufacturing operations or similar industry/environment and/or training Experience managing personnel Experience using typical metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers and computer controlled gauging equipment. General knowledge of blue prints, engineering specification interpretation, inspection using measuring and test equipment, SPC software and measurement techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerance and quality calibration processes required. Knowledge of process control charts, process capability studies and other statistical analysis applications. Ability to read and write in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); MRP experience. Language skills: English. A PLUS: Lean or Six Sigma training Advanced or bachelor degree in technical or science related field preferred Experience with SAP ERP Understanding of Material Failure modes, Gage R&R, and Capability Studies Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Bilingual / Spanish Position is subject to pre-employment background check and drug screen.
