Kingdom One is partnered with the San Diego Rescue Mission as they look to grow their team by adding a Director of Donor Relations! Vision for this role The Director of Donor Relations serves on the Development Team as a key leader in developing strategy, cultivating donor relationships, providing accountability, and setting direction. They are a strong coach and visionary leader able to elevate our assigned donor strategies and able to support the overall efforts of the Development Team. This position is primarily responsible for leading the team of Donor Officers, overseeing the Major Donor program, Middle Donor Program and Planned Giving Program. The Director of Donor Relations will play a key role in building the donor cultivation efforts of the Rescue Mission, as well as planning strategic donor events and cultivating our major donors and key partners. This position is also a key spiritual leader of the Development Team and will support teammates on a coaching and pastoral level. We’re looking for someone who: Will act as a spiritual leader within the Development Team, offering coaching and pastoral support to your teammates. Can lead and inspire the Donor Officers team to achieve fundraising goals and objectives. Will oversee the Major Donor program, Middle Donor program, and Planned Giving program, ensuring growth and success. Plays a vital role in building the donor cultivation efforts of the San Diego Rescue Mission. Plans and executes strategic donor events to engage and foster relationships with major donors and key partners. Our ideal candidate: Always demonstrates Christ-centered behavior by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity. Has a deep commitment to the mission and values of the San Diego Rescue Mission. Proven experience in fundraising, including major donor cultivation and planned giving. Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute donor strategies that drive results. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, both within the organization and with external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A servant-hearted approach to leadership, with a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
