This includes, but not limited to marketing program analysis for effectiveness and opportunity, key performance indicators + reporting dashboard development, report standardization, recommendation proposals based on objective data review. This role will also provide operational market research support leading product performance testing, new product testing, and primary and secondary research collection. The Business Insights analysis will also be responsible for assisting with ad-hoc and monthly analytics.This is a unique opportunity to gain broad experience, have responsibility for a variety of projects and engage with key decision makers. The Business Insights Analyst will assist the organization with gleaning data driven insights that lead to meaningful action. Responsibilities * Prepare and interpret primary and secondary marketing research relating to our brands, segments, and competitors within those segments (make recommendations based on the analysis) * Communicate findings via reports and presentations to marketing stakeholders and peers and stay current with market research and data analytic tools and methodologies * Analyze & synthesize research data on an ongoing basis, and produce high-quality market research reports with actionable recommendations * Partner closely with the Market Research Manager to build and standardize processes that support the use of research at Benjamin Moore * Translate research briefs into a project plan with corresponding steps and timelines * Represent the team in meetings with business partners and present to internal audiences, as needed * Participate in all aspects of the research process from questionnaire writing and research design, analysis, and interpretation of results through to preparation of reports * Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders by responding to queries and providing updates * Assist with various internal ad hoc requests and projects to assist and support Marketing, and peers with on-demand analytics * Collaborate with marketing leadership team to define KPIs, and effectively track program performance and effectiveness * Gain an understanding of all marketing data platforms (internal and external). Assist marketing leads with extracting and standardizing data for purposes of reporting and analysis. * Collaborate with various internal teams to define data requirements, establish data collection methodologies, and ensure data integrity and accuracy. Utilize insights from data analysis and trends to support marketing activities * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and provide timely reports on their success along with areas for improvement * Analyze and present overall and business unit marketing data to better understand performance and make recommendations to stakeholders * Analyze and examine campaign performance metrics across various marketing platforms to uncover trends and opportunities for optimization. * Analyze and examine color tools merchandise usage to better understand end-user behaviors * Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and market research to continuously improve analytical capabilities and drive innovation within the organization Qualifications * B.A. or B.S. in Business, Data Analytics or Related Field * 3+ years of experience required in key functional areas outlined above * General Excel/PowerPoint skills; proficiency with Business Objects and other mining tools; data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Qlik Sense) * Ability to turn business questions into research methodologies * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills * Passion about solving business problems using data (marketing performance/effectiveness & market research) * Ability to communicate openly and honestly with colleagues and customers. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and content of the work, and complies with information confidentiality requirements where applicable * Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and quickly grasp new concepts by demonstrating and applying knowledge of these tasks timely and accurately * Ability to maintain effective relationships by collaborating with customers by fully understanding and meeting their expectations.
