Our specialties include cybersecurity, cloud modernization, software development, data analytics, enterprise architecture, enterprise IT, analytics and artificial intelligence Learn more about 9th Way Insignia at https://9thwayinsignia.com/ Team (Project) Introduction 9 th Way Insignia is looking for a Zero Trust Engineer to work with the Veterans Administration (VA) to support the governance pillar in creating, implementing, and providing support for the necessary requirements and outcomes of the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) assessments. 9 th Way Insignia will provide iterative updates for pillar use cases while accounting for a risk based and dependency-based priority of capabilities. Professional Level Information: The Zero Trust Engineer aligns within 9 th Way Insignia as an Engineer 2. An Engineer 2 has a good understanding of the software development life cycle and can take on work without much direction majority of the time. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer 2 has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and assists in the resolution of complex problems. An Engineer 2, has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. Functional Job (LCAT) Information: A Zero Trust Engineer has IT experience with Cyber Security Policy and threat mitigation. Must be well versed in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Must have familiarity and experience in the implementation of cyber security regulations. Must have experience in ZTA. Responsibilities: Mature Cyber ZTA capabilities to improve Vulnerability Threat Management capabilities. Work with privacy data, in order to increase Cloud application and infrastructure vulnerability scanning and reporting. Assist in developing architecture for integrating findings into a centralized dashboard that allows product owners direct access to team's specific systems or cloud account findings. Requirements : Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in one of the following: computer science, electronics engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or cyber security. 10 years of relevant experience 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. Location: This position is remote. Salary Range: The salary range for this position $77,000 - $113,000 *9th Way Insignia's range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. Preferred/Desired: GIAC Security Essentials Certification RMF, CSF, FISMA, and Fedramp Familiarity with: ZTNA and SASE Framework, ICAM (OKTA), CWPP, SOC Operations, Vulnerability Threat Management, and Compliance Clearance, background investigation: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
