I’m Panda, a young Pitbull weighing 55 pounds. Brought to the shelter by a “good sam”, I’m now waiting for my forever home. My friends here at the shelter may not know my history, but have been nothing but kind as I’ve had some trouble getting used to my new surroundings. Unsure about all the different sights, smells and sounds that I’ve been encountering, I’m slowly learning how to come out of my shell. Adopters willing to respect my need to go at my own pace would truly help me thrive. Not a super fan of handling or pets just yet, a nice way to win over my heart is with yummy treats! Once I feel comfortable and safe, watch out for my loose and wiggly butt! Building a relationship is a marathon, not a sprint….but I’m ready and willing for the adventure if you are! While I sit and wait for my new family, I’ve been an A+ student in the shelter’s Buddy Program where I work alongside trainers perfecting my cues. Described as an “obedience rock star”, I already know Sit, Down, Paw…..you name it, I can learn it! Have love and time to invest in this unique beauty? The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day starting at noon!
