Media Coordinator POSITION STATUS: Part-timeREPORT TO: Operations ExecutiveThe incumbent in this job is expected to assist the church in achieving its vision and mission of reaching the community. A commitment to excellence, service, and a willingness to assist as needed are the expectations of all employees. JOB SUMMARY Conceptualizes and creates designs, concepts, and layouts for all content related to the church’s website, print, digital and social media channels. Ongoing support of marketing, advertising, and public relations to ensure the church’s presence within the community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conceptualizes, designs, implements, and maintains innovative and cutting-edge high-quality publications for print, website, collateral materials, signage, and social media channels while supporting the church’s values and institutional goals. Manages and constantly updates the church’s social media channels, while monitoring and fielding comments, responses, or general inquiries. Create, shoot, edit and publish short videos/reels to support the church in its mission to reach the community, and develop brand awareness throughout each social media platform. Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy. Generates relevant and engaging content for all the social media channels. Cultivates individual relationships and partnerships that support the church. Uses interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed each week. Working hours may include evenings, holidays, or holidays due to special events. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. A strong commitment to the mission of the church. Demonstrated relevant experience producing multimedia content. Familiarity with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva. Working knowledge of PC environments and technology trends in the marketing/public relations arena. Ability to work autonomously, as well as in team settings. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with supervisors, other personnel, and church members. Demonstrated organizational skills in handling, directing and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments and projects. Ability to communicate with internal and external constituencies in a professional manner, including articulating the church’s message with clarity and enthusiasm. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to top management. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education and experience required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in website graphic design, social media, or related field. Demonstrated professional experience in graphic design, photography, and social media, with demonstrated people skills and expertise in planning, designing, production methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives and managing a high volume of projects. Knowledge of digital photography and ability to shoot images for multiple content platforms. Experience with a variety of social media platforms.
