Adopt Jazz a Gray, Blue or Silver Tabby Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in

Location:
Boston, MA
Description:

Gibby & Jazz – Available for Adoption Boston’s Forgotten Felines acquired Gibby & Jazz with the belief that they suffered from a certain condition, but in fact they each actually have a different issue. After numerous vet visits, Gibby (b/w) was diagnosed with ataxia. She has little coordination/balance in her back legs. We did notice that after she sleeps or goes from a laying down position that it’s worse than when she has been out and about for a bit. X-rays did show healing fractures in her back legs, but we have no idea how or why. It is too bad cats can’t talk. Jazz (g/w) also has had numerous vet visits. She is believed to have untreated swimmer’s syndrome which affects kittens and can be fixed if treated early. She looks to have frog legs. Unfortunately, this affects her going to the bathroom. She does make an effort to use the box, but with her poops she might drop a nugget or two outside the box as she leaves. She also has urine issues outside the box. She needs a special person who will be able to keep an eye on her urination as she is prone to get UTIs. With the above said, don’t tell Gibby & Jazz that they have issues because they are oblivious to the fact that they are fragile. They are super adorable as they run & play. When Gibby gets going she will hop like a rabbit or gallop like a horse or sometimes does both all at once. Jazz can also get by just fine running around & playing with her frog legs. Gibby loves to play in her tunnel… she runs, flips, flops, crashes, belly drops in and out. Jazz enjoys playing with her scrunchy ball. And she LOVES catnip! We would love to see this pair in a home together. Do you have what it takes to offer these two a forever home? Gibby & Jazz are approximately 3 years, both spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV, and up-to-date on all their shots. If you are interested in meeting the sisters, contact Boston’s Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at XXXX@bostonsforgottenfelines.org!
