About Me Age: 2 years....Tulip (real name Bunny) is quite the quirky character. From her morning hugs to her singing, Bunny is sure to warm her way into your home and heart. She gets her name from her cute, nubby, tail combined with fuzzy ears and seriously, she accompanies her foster mom on vocal practice by howling and will greet her humans with a Wo-wooooo sound. She was surrendered to SCGRR due to her “stranger danger” outlook on life that had been challenging since they’d rescued her. We felt is best to start her off in a board and train program with one of SCGRR’s partners – Carly Trimble of RewardCalm Dog Services. During her stay, Bunny has learned to love guests as long as she gets to smell them first. We also discovered, she has a fear of being picked up or held physically which makes vet appointments a bit more challenging. With medium energy, Bunny needs about 60 minutes of walking every day. She loves walks and hiking out in open spaces. She is crate trained, house broken, rides well in the car and walks beautifully on leash (except when she sees a lizard – still working on that). She plays well with the pack of pups she lives with however, would not do well with a nervous dog who may provoke conflict as Bunny would respond in kind. Bunny’s high prey drive would not pair well with cats, small yappy dogs or small children. She thoroughly enjoys squeaky toys and will pull them out of the toy box to nibble on or play tug of war. Tug is her favorite game. My Ideal Home Bunny would do best in a quieter home and neighborhood with adult humans. She would enjoy a “zen vibe” and someone that loves long walks in nature. She could be your one and only or enjoy the company of a young and playful but very balanced, larger dog. No children or small pets. Want to Adopt me?
