Animal Profile: Riley is an estimated 2.5-year-old neutered male mixed breed (we think Standard Poodle Airedale) who was surrendered to Kauai SPCA by his elderly owners who couldn't care for him anymore. According to Riley's fosters in Hawaii he is a big sweet scruffy boy (regular grooming needed!) who loves to play, play, play! He loves other dogs and is good with cats and kids. He will need an active home where he is exercised daily. He is house and crate trained and eager to learn and please. He is an excellent dog who just needs the attention that a young and active intelligent athletic dog requires. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care. Adopter Profile: Fenced yard preferred Large breed dog experience needed Other dogs, cats, kids OK Seattle Foster Update: Riley is a big fluffy dood full of personality. He is house trained, crate trained and working on his leash manners. Riley loves other dogs, and can sometimes get a little frustrated when he can't say hi. He is currently working on his leash manners, and will need a family that can continue to provide him with training so his behavior doesn't regress. Riley would be happy to share his home with another furry friend that he could wrestle and chase with, but he would also be ok as an only dog if he had proper outlets for his energy. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.
