LOCATION: Baldwin, MichiganDOB: 07/13/2019 (Estimate)Sweet Girl, Jenny, may be just the right girl for you! She is a cutie and an absolute doll who has the most expressive and bright eyes that are just begging for someone to love her. Jenny recently had a litter of pups and she has been a very attentive and adoring mom to her little ones. And as they each go to their own forever homes, Miss Jenny has patiently been waiting for her own forever home.If you are the kind of pet owner that loves a lapdog, you and Jenny are going to get along perfectly. She is a lovebug and a lapdog. She is slightly on the daintier side which helps a little when she is parking her rump right on top of you! Her paw will find your hand and she just wants you to hold it for a bit. And she has the cutest little prance. So sweet!!In her foster home, she has been around children and teenagers and she likes both males and females. Her interactions with other dogs have been a bit limited as she was with her pups but with proper slow and controlled introductions and short exposures, she is getting to meet her fellow foster furry siblings and seems to be doing fine. They all have taken treats together but do eat separately while they get to know one another. Cats may be a no, though, as she seems to have a high prey drive. She has not been around a cat directly, but chickens on the other side of her fence are definitely catching her attention. She is watchful when she is outside and she keeps a close eye as to what is in her yard and what is on the other side of the fence and she is not afraid to use her Big Girl voice. Miss Girl is housebroken and crate trained. When she has been left out unsupervised, she has shown no sign of being destructive. She knows Sit and Down, Leave it and No and she comes when she is called from outside. Nail trimming has gone well. Leash training is pretty good but could be better. She has an excellent sniffer and she has no trouble perusing countertops or going through the trash cans so be sure to keep food and treats up and the trash put away!!Prior to her shelter-life, Jenny probably had a pretty rough go of it. She was underweight. She had no idea what to do with a toy. She was pregnant (probably not for the first time). But in foster care, she is absolutely thriving.
