Dog Name: Tanisha Breed: Lab/Pittie Mix Sex: Female Age: 4 yrs Weight: 60 lbs + Medical Needs: None Housebroken: Yes. She will go to the door when she needs to go out. She has not been vocal so please be vigilant. Crate trained: Yes. I feed her in her crate. She will go in for treats without a problem. She has not protested vocally unless she feels she’s missing out. Good in the car: Yes. She loves car rides! Tanisha loves watching the world go by! Good on a leash: Yes, keep her attention and she’s a perfect lady. Leave her on her own and she will want to smell everything and pull. Energy level: Medium, Medium high occasionally, depends on if there are other pups. Need a fenced in yard: I would suggest a yard for this beautiful girl but not necessary. I currently walk her mostly and allow her in the yard on occasion. Dog Friendly: Yes, she loves them all! Sometimes too much. She gets along with all 3 of my resident pups. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Yes but she does ok solo, Tanisha has spent over a year in the shelter and it will help her to learn doggy things to be around another dog(s). Cat Friendly? She tested cat friendly at the shelter. I have not tried her with a cat. Kid Friendly: Unknown, she is loving, big, and goofy. Older children should be ok. Small kids and toddlers will probably get bowled over by her enthusiasm. Special traits that make your foster special or what we need to know about her: Tanisha is an amazing and loving girl that hasn’t had a chance to shine. She has spent almost half of her life in a shelter. Tanisha just needs a chance to be a good girl, to love, and to be loved by someone. I’ve never heard her growl or seen her show her teeth in any situation.She is good at walking on lead and she loves to run and play fetch (which she’s trying to figure out). I’ve taken her on several long walks at the local nature park and she’s come within 10’ of deer, not a peep or nary a pull, just curiosity. An active person or family will be a major benefit to Tanisha’s growth as a dog.She loves Pup Cups, plain double cheeseburgers, and going to work with her foster Daddy at the boat store.Tanisha is incredibly smart and a fast learner. She has the demeanor of a Lab and a heart overflowing with unconditional love. Don’t leave her behind because Tanisha is ready to go with you and your family on every adventure!
