We adopted sweet Laika (Lay-Kuh) from CMPD Animal Patrol in Charlotte in 2020. Laika did not have any known background info, but had tested positive for heartworms. We went through the treatment process with her and she is such a healthy girl now! She is active and loves to run. She loves cats and dogs with non alpha personalities. Laika does well with infants, older kids, teens, and adults, but unfortunately gets nervous around young kids. We are hoping to find a home with a loving family for Laika! She is so snuggly but also active, so a home with older children would be great for her! She also loves having pet companions (cats or dogs that are not dominant), but she is energetic and will want them to play with her. Laika is house trained and can be trusted at home for a full work day out of a crate. She also loves boat and car rides, prefers a yard to run, and loves snacks!
