Nugget, at 14 weeks is, according to his foster mom, handsome, happy, and healthy! The 30-pound caramel cutie may percolate with typical puppy energy but when she sits with him, he’s the sweetest of snugglers, either putting his paw around her neck or resting his head on her chest. Fast friends with her 12-year-old son, he plays very well with the dogs his size or larger that he's met, loves chewing bones, playing with toys (from a Kong binky and stuffy toys to balls and cardboard), playing fetch, and going for brief walks. Motivated by toys and love, he already knows “sit,” “no,” and “easy” when given treats which he accepts gently, is never crated, and is almost fully house-trained. Only just starting his life, handsome Nugget will do best in a house with a tall, securely fenced yard (or kept securely on a leash), perhaps another canine companion, and loving adopters to perfect his puppy manners, continue his leash-training, teach him the rest of his commands, and ensure he stays happy and healthy fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $395 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit) . Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here .
