Adopt The Crimson Chin a Brown or Chocolate Domestic Shorthair / Mixed cat in

Location:
Austin, TX
Description:

Funny, Adorable, Sweet Say hello to the older gentleman you never knew you needed in your life! The Crimson Chin may be a new guy around APA! but this handsome tabby is proud to be a wise old man. He has learned a lot of lessons over the years and can't wait to share them with his new family. Lesson #1: Only speak when it is important. The Crimson Chin wants you to know that he won't talk your ear off, but he will meow when he's hungry (very important) or when he wants to be let into the room (very very important). Lesson #2: Natural light is the best. The Crimson Chin's ideal home would have lots of window space. It's the nicest place to chill out in any home. He'll even show you just how to find the choicest spot to recline for maximum relaxation. Lesson #3: Everything's better with friends. The Crimson Chin wants to be around his people. He will follow you through the house and often tries to convince you to play with him. The feather wand is his favorite, but he's up for any game that he can enjoy with you. His enthusiasm for being near you will delight and amuse you. At the end of the day, The Crimson Chin will curl up next to you in bed for a sleepy snuggle. Lesson #4: If you love someone, let them know. He may look like a grumpy old man, but The Crimson Chin is very affectionate. He likes to bump his adorable head against you to show how much he cherishes you. Even more, he never tires of giving soft kitty kisses. If this sweet cat sounds like the guy for you, please contact us about The Crimson Chin! The Crimson Chin has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. The Crimson Chin can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. The Crimson Chin has stomatitis which is an inflammation of the mouth. It is typically resolved through removal of teeth and supportive care. He currently requires some extra medical care which may include medications and a wet food diet. For more information, please contact APA! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
