PWRESCUE.ORG**PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY**Diego came to us from the shelter and presented a slight hind leg limp. Apparently, before we met him, he'd suffered a broken pelvis that was likely not treated resulting in his right back leg healing poorly. In our care he received surgery that corrected this condition and through foster care rehab, he's running and walking like new!He is a very sweet and shy dog, gentle with kids, all adults and other dogs. He loves to run and play in the yard; loves to get belly rubs and loves attention! He enjoys going out for a long walk and he does very well on a leash. He would love a house with a big backyard (apartment/condo living isn't good for him). His ideal home would be a calm, low energy home with another playful dog to be a companion for him and to build his confidence. The cattle dog part of him tends to make him want to “herd” his people.Diego's adoption fee is $300.00. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. He will go to his new home with a collar, ID tag and harness.
