This role will work remote, but is expected to occasionally report to our Irvine, CA headquarters for collaborative planning and team meetings. Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 depending on experience Essential Duties: Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine our technical direction for the various applications and services that will power the Company Act as both a technical leader and a people leader, helping inspire other engineers to grow personally and professionally Help design and architect our systems, keeping both quick iteration as well as future scale in mind Lead the software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, designers, and other engineers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications Architect and design innovative software solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into our software development practices Drive initiatives to improve software development processes, tools, and methodologies, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence Proactively identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks, collaborating with team members to implement effective solutions Champion best practices for software engineering, including coding standards, documentation, testing, and version control Collaborate with Executive Leadership and key stakeholders within the organization, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes, while delivering on expressed organizational needs Other duties and initiatives as assigned Knowledge and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred 7+ years of Software Engineering experience 3+ years in a technical lead role Skills and Abilities: Experience creating data pipelines and an understanding of how to curate data from applications to ensure its actionable by business users Experience in designing/architecting distributed systems; confidence in making decisions and setting architectural direction Strong proficiency in programming languages, as well as modern frameworks and libraries In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices Experience with cloud computing platforms Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling technical challenges in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders Experience in the financial services industry or debt settlement domain is a plus Knowledge of the majority of our primary systems/software, including: Python, NodeJs (Javascript/Typescript), Ruby (RoR), Snowflake, Azure, Heroku, Github Alleviate Financial Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
