Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee standardization and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. Define and meet warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share. Specific Duties Include: Achieve high levels of company satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performanceOrganize and maintain inventory and storage area according to safety standardsEnsure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracyThe role requires an understanding of the sales order process as applicable to materials and safety standardsMaintain procedures and items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse statusIdentify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practicesConfer and coordinate activities with other areas while adhering to warehouse missionMoves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.Delivers supplies and equipment to projects by receiving and transferring items.Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; and recommending improvements.Responsible for the basic inventory management function for the area supported including; timely processing of materials movements, and the physical inventory verification processMaintains accurate inventory by conducting physical counts; reconciling variances; and inputting data.Work with operations to keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.Keeps maintenance and repair records; performs preventive maintenance on all equipment; orders repair parts within controlsManages assets (fleet, equipment, etc.) as required.Ensures that hazmat compliance is maintained according to company expectations and partners with EHS to ensure complianceThe position is responsible for ensuring warehouse safety and hazmat compliance including training, documentation, audits, and reporting. Job Requirements: Proven work experience as a Warehouse SupervisorHighly effective supervisory skills and techniquesProven ability to direct and coordinate operationsKnowledge of software packages and MS Office proficiency, Quickbooks a plusAbility to input, retrieve, and analyze dataHands-on commitment to getting the job doneSafety Management.Data Entry Management.Dependability, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information.Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented.Time Management, Equipment Maintenance, & Organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbout WindCom:WindCom, headquartered in Houston-Texas, supports customers across North America, providing effective and safe solutions to the most complex blade servicing needs.
