Job Title: Sanitation Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Manager to oversee our sanitation operations during the 3rd shift. The Sanitation Manager will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, adhering to strict regulatory standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of sanitation staff during the 3rd shift. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution of sanitation procedures. Sanitation Procedures: Develop and implement sanitation protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and OSHA standards. Cleaning and Disinfection: Oversee the cleaning and disinfection of production equipment, processing areas, and common areas using approved cleaning agents and sanitizers. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of sanitation practices. Address any deficiencies or non-conformities promptly to maintain hygiene standards. Inventory Management: Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times. Coordinate with procurement to reorder supplies as needed. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and guidelines. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and chemical usage logs. Prepare documentation for audits and inspections. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the sanitation department. Implement changes to optimize workflows and enhance productivity. Communication: Collaborate with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to coordinate sanitation activities and address cross-functional issues. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for sanitation staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sanitation or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Knowledge of sanitation principles, practices, and regulations in a food manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work 3rd shift and weekends as needed.
