The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to cultivate and generate new client relationships, manage existing client relationships, and possess superior intellect and quick grasp of complex legal issues. Duties:Cultivate and generate new client relationshipsManage new and existing client relationshipsConduct preliminary and comprehensive trademark availability searchesPrepare and prosecute U.S. trademark applications, statements of use, notices of allowance, renewals, etc.Prosecute international trademarks via various protocols and correspond with foreign associates and trademark officesManage brand policing efforts including trademark watch notices and USPTO Official Gazette reviewHandle TTAB actions and correspond with foreign associatesAssist with trademark-related litigation in state and federal courtsPrepare post-registration maintenance filingsDesign, recommend, and implement processes and procedures for efficiencyComplete domain name registrations and transfers, and conduct UDRP actionsManage the docket system for trademark-related matters Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice law in the District of Columbia or state of Michigan and the USPTO5+ years as a practicing attorney with 5-10 years of experiencePortable book of business of $350,000Strong work ethic and willingness to work as neededGood organizational and project management skillsProficiency in online legal research services and resourcesSuperior legal writing and oral communication skills Skills:Client relationship managementLegal research and analysisTrademark prosecutionBrand policingTTAB proceedingsLitigation supportProject managementDocket managementSuperior legal writing and oral communication
