Top 50 company for Diversity and have multiple Sustainability awards (ranking 22 in the World and 1 in Food Products) - Wellbeing programs including Physical, Mental and Financial wellness - Tuition assistance POSITION OVERVIEW This position is responsible for managing and directing activities to include product quality and defect management and managing the Quality Assurance department to meet the needs of internal and external customers while achieving key indicator results that support business goals. The person is responsible for managing the supplies and labor budget. A core responsibility is to develop the team to their fullest potential through High Performance Organization (HPO). The person initiates and leads process improvement initiatives, PDCA, root cause analysis. RESPONSIBILITIES stylemargin:bottom:11.0px::Creates a vision for the team that aligns with McCormick and the production facility.:Leads team by applying situational leadership, coaching, facilitation, presentation, role playing (feedback and conflict management) skills, and leveraging established processes of Journey to Excellence (JTE). : Ensures team members are motivated and capable of delivering a high level of performance. Leadership includes setting objectives, coaching employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes.: Utilizes the HPO Systems (Goal Setting, Performance Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Training and Development, Information Systems, Rewards and Recognitions) to empower and develop their teams using established HPO systems, core beliefs, guiding principles and attributes.: Leads failure analysis when required for failures (including near miss and actual incidents). Participates in planning for technological and engineering improvements.: Performs evaluations and creates development/training plans for individuals within the team and manages employee relations. Actively uses PDPs to document and facilitate improvement/recognition discussions. Manages compensation process for team and recommends wage increases for high performers (pay for performance).: Develops, ensures, and documents all procedures and best practices and creates an atmosphere of 100 compliance to operational processes and procedures and continuous improvement using TWI, SPC, SQC, VSM and PDCA (problem solving) methodologies and established principals, including cGMPs and other guidelines to ensure safety and sanitation.: Qualifies CBA/Centerlines in partnership with Process Technicians and Production teams.: Leads problem solving events and process improvement initiatives using RCA and CAPA tools.: All other duties as a ssigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : BSc in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or other technical degree. McCormick experience in a technical management field, while pursuing a degree in a related field of study may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.: 2 years' management or leadership expe
