BENNY IS BACK! Just think of Benny as one of those admirable elderly ladies who has to walk with a cane, but can still do backflips on a jetski at age 95. This Jack Russell mix is "only" 10, but her tough breaks over the last six months are enough for an entire lifetime. She was recently returned to us because she wasn't getting along with her adopter's dog and cat, so Benny is looking for a new home as an only animal. Before that, her previous owner's health declined and they could sadly no longer take care of her. Benny's teeth were in bad shape, and all but a few had to be pulled (do they make doggie dentures?). This sweetheart takes but a moment to warm up to new people friends, though she can be cranky at times. Her slow little shuffle through the lobby is one of the cutest things you'll ever see, in addition to the half brown, half black spot on her backside. BUT, you get this crazy gal outside and WATCH OUT! She gets a spring in her step and can leap over ditches, trek up hills and will venture as far as you let her. Benny is just looking for a nice home where she can retire, but can still get out on the jetski...we mean adventure outside and feel like a young pup again. Benny is a member of our Gray Whiskers program, meaning we'll work with her new family to determine how we can best help them care for her in her advanced age. She's spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
