Meet Maxwell, an handsome English Pointer with a bit of Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the mix (according to my Dog Scanner) that arrived as a stray at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 7/25. He is listed at approx 3 years of age, weighs about 45 pounds and is not neutered. He is an absolutely delightful fellow! I found him to be friendly, totally ok with being loved on once he slowed down enough! He is good on a leash, likes playing with balls and is a tail-wagging fun-loving fellow. Maxwell is a frisky and perky fellow, but not overly so. He does not jump on you. He does not seem to know any commands and wasn't especially interested in treats. He is fairly calm and well-behaved. In the yard, he had his nose to the ground most of the time and I had a hard time getting pics of his face! A very curious boy! There is a lot to like about Maxwell and he is very adoptable. He would love to get out of the shelter and start a new life with a person or family that would treat him as an important part of the family by allowing him to live inside and by staying committed to him.
