Hi there, my name is Disco, and I am a handsome Lab mix, about 3 years old, 52 lbs and I am hoping to leave Texas behind. It’s just too darn hot here in the summer and too many dogs are running loose, me included. I was another stray dog trying to find shelter from a 105-degree day by crawling under some bushes outside a Dollar Store when I spotted a pretty lady and followed her to her car. Three times I tried to make friends with her and tag along and fortunately the 3rd time was my lucky break! She put me in the passenger seat and became my foster mom. Woohoo! Turns out I am a very nice and friendly boy, but not sure I have ever been allowed inside a home. I had a dear-in-the-headlights look on my face when my new foster parents invited me inside and I love it! Air conditioning rocks! Sleeping on the couch rocks! I was definitely meant to be a beloved family member instead of a dog longing for attention! I love all people young and old, and I get along great with other dogs and kitty cats. I love playtime, running and jumping and wrestling with my pals, chewing on bones, and playing with doggy toys. I am super affectionate and love belly rubs and walks to the park, cuddles, and kisses, I’m a total sweetheart! I rarely bark, I’m already housebroken, and I don't dig up the yard, or jump over fences. I just love my people and wish we could be together all the time, ready for any fun new adventures, on foot or by car, I’m a team player and would make a great family dog. There is a rescue dog transport van leaving Texas every 2 weeks, bringing dogs and puppies to meet their new families in the Northeast Coastal states. I am already thinking this will be a great chance for me to find a wonderful future in a wonderful home with wonderful people that will love me forever! * We encourage you to send us an email with your #1, #2, and #3 choice, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family!
