The Inova Schar Cancer Institute Fair Oaks and Loudoun are satellite locations of our main Inova Schar Cancer Institute in the Washington, DC metro area designed to bring healing and hope to every patient. Inova Schar gives patients unmatched logistical, clinical and emotional support. Our team of nationally renowned doctors, specialists, surgeons, genetic counselors, nurses and caregivers are backed by the latest in drug discovery, clinical trials, research and advanced treatments. Together, we are dedicated to delivering the best quality cancer care, from diagnosis to survivorship. The Fair Oaks and Loudoun locations, which are on the Fair Oaks/Loudoun Hospital campuses, are outpatient physician clinics whose team members work closely and expertly with our medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, medical specialists, and advanced practitioners to serve patients with a variety of cancers and hematologic conditions. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinics are closed for the seven recognized Inova holidays and there are no on-call requirements. Our full time team members work five 8 hour shifts. This is a part time position. **This role will require floating to both the Fair Oaks and Loudoun Schar clinics. This is a Part time role (0.5 FTE).** As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required. Your ability to determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.Requirements A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience. Education: BSN or MSN or if Associates Degree RN-Within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leader: Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend Submit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date. Complete BSN within 24 months of hire date BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others. Proficient computer skills required.
