Adopt Moose a Black - with Brown, Red, Golden, Orange or Chestnut Collie / Mixed

Moose is a 3 year, 8 month old Tri rough coat collie. He came into rescue with his brother Hank. They do not have to be adopted together. His coat had to be shaved when he came into rescue as he was so matted, but his coat is coming back in! Moose is on the smaller size, and is under 50 lbs. He was extremely underweight when we first took him in. He is a very sweet boy, and we are working on some house manners. He currently does require supervision in the house, but loves to learn. Moose is crate trained and he eats and sleeps in his crate. He sits, shakes and knows his down command. He is also learning leash training when it's not so hot to take a walk. Moose is neutered and housebroken, but when scared, can have a submissive pee/accident. This does not happen very often now, as Moose is getting used to home life and new sights and sounds. He doesn't like fireworks, but thunderstorms don't seem to bother him. Moose loves his rides in the van to his vet and grooming. Moose has not really been around children, so we are not sure how he would do with children in the home. An experienced dog owner is required to continue Moose's training. A fenced yard is required and Moose will need to be supervised in his new backyard until he gets used to being in his forever home. Moose is currently being fostered in Louisiana.
