Essential Duties and Responsibilities stylemargin:bottom:11.0px::Responsible for EHS Compliance at site :Work alongside managers/employees on EHS issues :Assist in coordination, planning and facilitating training seminars :Educate staff via weekly safety trainings in English (Spanish beneficial, but not required) :Assist in Accident Management :Coordinate/lead Safety Committee meetings monthly :Weekly coaching on Lockout/Tagout and procedural audits :Performs weekly/monthly inspections at each plant :Trend, analyze accidents for trends and prevention measures :Learn and operate plant tools/equipment :Recognize safety hazards or unsafe work practices and develop Corrective Action Plans :Assist site management as needed with various EHS and production related projects :Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Requirements / Education / Experience :High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education :Minimum 2+ years of experience in concrete products manufacturing :Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers :Working knowledge of OSHA, California State and EPA regulations :Ability to read, analyze and interpret plant safety procedures, professional journals and technical manuals :Excellent communications skills, verbal, written, in:person and by telephone :Strong organizational, problem:solving, and critical reasoning skills :Ability to take initiative and work independently :Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferences :Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance :OSHA 30 :HAZWOPER certified :RCRA certified. :CPR, First Aid, AED certified Physical Environment :While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently sit and stand for extended periods of time :Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, and fingers to use a computer and keyboard :Must wear company provided personal protective equipment : earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes,and protective glasses.
