Oldcastle APG, Inc.'s 2024 Summer Internship Program is designed to provide a professional environment for undergraduate students to gain real:world experience at a global industry:leading manufacturer of concrete building and hardscape products. The program will run from early June through early August and will provide exposure to valuable learning opportunities within the corporate functions of the organization through assignments, projects, and collaboration. This is the perfect opportunity for undergraduate students their knowledge and creativity to a growth:oriented company with headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Position Summary The Performance Analytics Data Science Summer Intern will support a series of focused projects in support of several strategic functions which include performance, pricing, and transportation. The intern will gain exposure to multiple workstreams, each with a defined objective and a different set of stakeholders, to provide broad exposure across APG. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Develop Basic Applications in Streamlit to enable the business to directly manage Snowflake data tables :Explore options for scraping websites for valuable comparisons between our data and competitor data, including store inventory levels and pricing :Analyze weather data and measure impact to historical sales performance data :Use Natural Language Processing (NLP) to extract insights from our customer and end user preferences :Leverage Python and YouTube APIs to help optimize our brand presence across YouTube Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements :Students pursuing Bachelor's Degree Program in Junior year of College or Third year of University (Anticipated Graduation date of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025); or, those pursuing an MBA :Concentration or Area of Study in Computer Science or Data Analytics :Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills :Knowledge of SQL, Python :Comfortable with Tableau or Comparable BI Visualization Tool :Ability to attend program hosted in Atlanta, GA :Strong willingness to learn What CRH Offers You : Highly competitive base pay: Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs: Group retirement savings program: Health and wellness programs: A diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
