He or she should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks and have excellent written and oral communication skills. This career requires analytical and mathematical skills, and a firm understanding of the main principles of engineering and construction.A site project engineer is responsible for, but not limited to the following: * Work with site engineering & maintenance resources to develop project scope and objectives. * Follow project front-end loading process and identify project phases and design requirements. * Develop project estimates including equipment, construction and commissioning cost. * Perform project financial analysis. * Provide leadership to bring the project through the approval process. * Coordinate project Mechanical, Process & Electrical design with in-house and contracted resources. * Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems. * Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications and adhering to the plan and schedule. * Control project costs by monitoring purchases, construction and commissioning costs. * Assist with providing daily construction management support. * Maintain project design and commissioning documentation.Job Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred or High School diploma/GED plus 5 years of relevant project engineering experience. * Industrial plant experience in chemical processing preferred. * Good communication and presentation skills (both oral and written). * Good interpersonal and Conflict Resolution Skills with the ability to influence managers, peers, and maintenance team. * Ability to utilize other software tools as appropriate SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint).Our Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
