Job Description The purpose of this position is to provide fiscal support such as fiscal monitoring and analysis, review budgets and contractual invoices. This position is within the Operations unit and is responsible for identifying best practices to be applied more broadly at the organization. Essential Functions Perform off-site review of subrecipient agency's fiscal records, internal controls and fiscal operations. Review and verify subrecipient 's invoices received for payment. Review and prepare budget vs actual expenditure analysis from subrecipient's general ledgers. Request and approve budget revisions if necessary. Update and maintain financial information in Famis, Airtable or other accounting platform. Perform desk reviews of submitted audit reports from subrecipient agencies. Maintain City's wide subrecipient report. Work on requested special projects as necessary. Review and prepare petty cash and bank reconciliations. Liaise between the Organization and City centralized functions including but not limited to Revenue, Finance, and/or Grants. Other duties as assigned. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles). Solid ability to problem solves. Above average oral and written communication skills. Work independently. Tackle multiple projects within tight timeframe. Ability to utility Microsoft Suites (advance level of Excel and Word), and Office 365. Access knowledge is helpful. Qualifications Qualifications (Education and Experience) Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university with a major course work in Accounting or related field. Or an equivalent (3-5) years of accounting or similar financial analyst, budget analyst experience. Supervisory Responsibilities None Other Specialties, Certifications, Physical Requirements, and Work Conditions Regular, predictable attendance is required Successful candidate must be a city of Philadelphia resident within six months of hire Additional Information TO APPLY: Interested candidates must submit a resume and references.
