Our Ideal Candidate You are an experienced molecular biologist with a passion for drug discovery and extensive experience with routine molecular and cell biology approaches including plasmid cloning, mammalian tissue culture, cell-based assay development, and CRISPR/RNAi. You have a proven record of supporting projects from the bench through the design and execution of cell-based assays that yield robust, decision-making data packages. You thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and multidisciplinary research environment. Responsibilities Support/expand upon established cell and molecular biology platforms for hit identification and validation as well as degradation MOA confirmation. Support novel target identification/validation efforts using chemical and genetic approaches. Support project-related biological MOA studies and SAR advancement through cell line engineering and cellular assay development. Support/expand functional genomics platform through design and execution of pooled and arrayed screens. Communicate science and strategy effectively in a variety of internal and external settings Required education Scientist I: PhD with 0-2+ years, MS with 3-5+ years, or BS with 5-8+ years of relevant experience Scientist II: PhD with 2+ years, MS with 5+ years or BS with 8+ years of relevant experience Required qualifications Demonstrated expertise with contemporary plasmid cloning techniques including generation of custom pooled libraries and management of large plasmid collections. Experience with routine cellular biology genetic tools (i.e. transgene expression, CRISPR/RNAi) Experience with routine molecular biology assays (i.e. western blots, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, etc) Experience with cell-based and HTS-compatible assay development. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Desire and capacity to participate in a dynamic and fast-paced research setting Desire and capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Preferred Qualifications: Experience with design and execution of custom arrayed and/or pooled functional genomics screens (i.e. shRNA, CRISPR, deep mutational scanning, variomics, etc) including NGS library preparation is highly desirable. Familiarity with targeted protein degradation is a plus.
