Check out these fantastic trees- BLACK HILLS SPRUCE- The Black Hills Spruce is one of extremely ornamental trees that is so versatile that it is equally at home in your front yard as it is in your field windbreaks or shelterbelt landscape. Its extra dense growth provides unmatched beauty with tremendous STOUT wind stopping ability, and a wonderful safe place for your birdie friends to raise their families. Even if you're looking only for a privacy screen from your neighbors, this tree would be a spectacular choice! :) Without a doubt (personally speaking) I just love love love this tree! The Black Hills Spruce is actually a variety or close cousin the famed and extremely tough WHITE SPRUCE (which I also carry), and which makes it even more attractive for many folks who don't always have the perfect soil conditions. Although the Black Hills will give you the best results planted in moist loam type soils, it will do well in many other soil conditions, and is fairly drought resistant. My place has every soil type imaginable and I wouldn't be without this tree in my yard for sure. Hardy to zone 2, you can expect a total tree height up to 60 feet tall, it enjoys sunny locations, and looks just as beautiful as a single specimen planting as it does in groups or rows. This tree is also used quite a bit for Christmas trees, so if you want to plant a few more on your property to harvest in the years to come as your own home grown Christmas tree, this would be a wonderful choice! :) Lotza pride and Lotza fun for the kids for sure! :).
