This is a exquisite, front and rear hinged, jewelry/trinket box. The background color of the box is rust, while the top is complimented by an intermingling of abalone designs; specifically, birds, floral motifs, and butterflies that are surrounded by an abalone framework. The front bottom-side of the jewelry box is decorated by abalone scrolls which encompass storks and butterflies. There is a bright and shiny mirror located on the interior of the box. Then front box ornamentation is composed of a functional silver butterfly clasp. The dimensions of the box are: approximately: 5.0 inches in length by 3.5 inches height by 2.0 inches in depth.
