A barrel of fun. A good-time guy. Your wingman. A party animal. The life of the party. These are all things someone might say about Canyon. All positive acknowledgments of what a great dog he is and how contagious his joyfulness is. We estimate Canyon to be about 3 years old, he weighs 62 lbs and is possibly some kind of bully mix. With rescue, age and breed are something we can only make an educated guess on but his personality doesn’t leave us guessing- he is a happy boy! This is one of those dogs that is practically glowing with giddy fun. He wants love and a treat and for you to throw the ball and to look at that squirrel. This makes him sound like he is high-energy and it isn’t that- its enthusiasm for all the amazing stuff being at the end of a loving persons leash leads to. We have no way of knowing Canyon’s past but his eyes and energy only care about the future. If he is already this happy, we can only imagine how he is going to flourish when he knows he is home and has a person of his very own. Canyons ideal home would include a yard so he could bounce around and then take a little sun-bath. He would love you all to himself but could live with another dog, preferably with the stamina of a mature dog, you know- a little play but then a lot of lazy. A cat-free home will be needed, whether he had never met a cat or forgot his manners, Canyon was too interested in our house cat Tom. He would likely give chase and cats hate that, so no kitties for Canyon. When it comes to learning, Canyon is motivated and attentive so we anticipate that teaching/ practicing new skills will come easily. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. The adoption fee is $725 and includes all vetting: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
