Job Title: Training Manager Reports to: Director of Learning and Development Direct Reports: Senior Trainers and Trainer Associates Status: Full-time; Exempt Salary: $67,727.00 - $76,373.00 Position Information: The Training Manager will work as an essential part of the Learning and Development Team supporting the development of professional development research, training, and evaluation designed to support the success of all programs and staff. The Learning Manager will work in close collaboration with the Director of Learning and Development and must have an understanding of experiential learning theory, training delivery, and professional development impact and evaluation. The Training Manager will be developing training content and material while also providing comprehensive support to the training team, ensuring the successful attainment of team objectives and quality training experiences. Overall Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Director of Learning and Development to ensure that training content aligns with the organization's learning objectives, emerging industry practices, and the needs of staff. Provide guidance and mentorship to the team of Senior Trainers and Trainer Associates, monitoring their performance, and offering constructive feedback to enhance their productivity through project management check in’s and team needs assessments. Work closely with the team to establish quality standards that align with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and review processes for all training materials and programs produced. Ensure professional development content is accurate, engaging, and effectively delivers the intended learning outcomes. Assist in managing the process of creating and launching professional development trainings, academies and train the trainer workshops. Conduct regular needs assessments for team associates to identify skill gaps and learning needs within the department and organization. Use this information to shape the development of new training initiatives and to refine existing programs. Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in learning, personal and professional development methodologies. Collect and analyze data related to the effectiveness of training programs, including participant feedback, completion dates, and performance improvements through agency wide surveys and needs assessments. Contribute to overall organizational culture in a positive way through communication with staff and external stakeholders, professional conduct, and alignment with organizational values. Requirements: Knowledge of Experiential Learning Theory Familiarity with high need communities of Los Angeles, existing education systems and youth development principles and programs. Unwavering commitment to quality programs, data-driven program evaluation and quality standard frameworks. Experience with youth development program implementation and direct service. Experience and comfort creating and leading staff training events. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals in a variety of professional roles and settings. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects at one time. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed. Computer literacy (Canva, Teams, Adobe, Microsoft Word, Forms, PPTX, Planner) Stable Internet Access Valid LIVE Scan Special Skills: Ideally, we are looking for someone who is detail oriented, energetic, ambitious, proactive, and positive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Multi-tasking and attention to detail must be strengths this individual possesses. Individual needs to be comfortable on camera and in live virtual sessions with students and peers.
