The World Equestrian Center - Ocala is currently seeking a Grounds-General Labor to assist with general landscape maintenance on property. Primary Responsibilities: Perform basic departmental responsibilities including, but not limited to debris clean up, weeding, mowing, aerating, watering, fertilizing, trimming, and pruning. Operates equipment such as, but not limited to mowers, blowers, edgers, and string trimmers. Notifies supervisor if equipment malfunctions or necessary equipment maintenance. Follows safety procedures provided by supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Associates will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor. Physical Requirements: These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. The associate must be able to sit in the same position for up to 8 hours a day consecutively. Associate may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Associate must be able to speak and hear. Must be able to perform duties in extreme temperatures. Must be able to life up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be willing to learn and follow directions. Possess a valid driver's license.
