POSITION: COST ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR LOCATION: HOUSTON, TX. WORK TYPE: FULL-TIME, HYBRID Join Our Team as a Cost Accounting Supervisor! We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Cost Accounting Supervisor. In this position, you will play a vital role on our client's team by collaborating closely with operations personnel and financial management. If you possess strong analytical skills and enjoy problem-solving in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Efficiently manage daily staff needs to ensure tasks are completed promptly. Effectively communicate and present results to senior management across various departments and geographical locations. Showcase exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Promptly respond to internal and external auditor requests to maintain compliance. Review and approve monthly account reconciliations with precision. Analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, and budget variances, providing insightful summaries to upper management. Collaborate with operations and accounting teams, offering guidance on operational transactions to ensure accurate financial accounting. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary to drive continuous improvement. Oversee the review of system annual standard costs and implement changes as required. Assist in the monthly review of project budgets to optimize resource allocation. Develop and implement streamlined processes for reporting and data analysis automation. Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, providing valuable insights for upper management review. Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and cost accounting projects as required. Desired Skills & Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of three years of experience in accounting, auditing, or related fields. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Smart View, Snowflake, Power BI, and Alteryx is considered advantageous. Familiarity with manufacturing standard cost environments is preferred. Dedication to meeting customer requests and adhering to required time commitments. Ability to connect manufacturing activities, system transactions, and processes to financial outcomes.
