Rare and genuine Waldan International Chronograph Chronometer in solid platinum. It’s rare enough that this model is in platinum, but this model features a sapphire crystal open display back, which is even rarer and unusual for these models. It is estimated that only out of 20 platinum watches produced annually, only 1/4 of that had sapphire crystal display backs. This is the ref. 0195, which is 38mm in diameter. The dial is white, with applied Arabic markers and a red forked date hand + red sweep seconds hand. This watch is full calendar (day + date + month), rotating moon phase and chronograph. The movement inside is a Chronometer certified Valjoux 7751 automatic winding movement (25 jewels, 28,800 vph, 42h power rsrv). The watch is in terrific vintage neo vintage condition and is estimated to be from the late 1990’s/early 2000’s. It is running well when wound, but would likely benefit from a service as it hasn’t been serviced in a few years. This watch is head only, however I do have Waldan buckles and can negotiate one into the sale.
