Practice Area: Litigation - Commercial, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 10 Years, A law firm in Chicago is seeking an Of Counsel / Junior Partner specializing in Litigation to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in complex commercial and civil litigation, preferably from a multi-national large law firm background. They will join a team of trial lawyers and litigators representing matters in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and consumer products industries. Duties:Manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation through trial.Draft pleadings and discovery requests, take and defend depositions.Conduct legal research and write persuasive motions, arguing them confidently before courts.Manage document production and handle all phases of discovery.Develop and implement winning litigation strategies through outstanding written and oral advocacy skills.Attend mediation, prepare mediation briefs, and negotiate favorable resolutions.Collaborate with colleagues and experts to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.Manage caseload, deadlines, and priorities with a driven and motivated work ethic. Requirements:10+ years of experience in complex commercial and civil litigation.Strong complex commercial litigation experience from a multi-national large law firm.Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong deposition skills and exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.Excellent academic credentials.Admission and good standing with the Illinois Bar.Portable book of business is a plus. Education:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission and good standing with the Illinois Bar. Skills:Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.Ability to manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation.Strong deposition skills.Collaborative and team-oriented approach.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Driven and motivated work ethic.Negotiation skills for achieving favorable resolutions.
