Lubbock, TX 79403Job Type: Full-Time SeasonalAbout Us:Lubbock Country Club is strategically located among beautiful rolling fairways and mature trees nourished by the meandering waters of historic Blackwater Draw, about three miles north of downtown Lubbock.Lubbock Country Club boasts the oldest and finest championship golf course on the South Plains, dating from 1921. The club’s 160 acres was home to 18 golf holes by 1934, when new grass greens replaced the original sand greens. The design of LCC’s current golf course began in the mid 1950s by golf course architect Warren Cantrell and the classic, traditional overall look of the course has change little since then.Position Overview:We are currently seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Full-Time Seasonal Golf Course Maintenance Workers. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our golf course throughout the peak season. If you have a passion for the outdoors, take pride in your workmanship, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the golf course, including mowing, blowing, trimming, and edging.• Assist in the upkeep of bunkers, tee boxes, and landscaping features to ensure they are in optimal condition.• Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities, equipment, and work areas.• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.Requirements:• Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred but not required, we will train.• Ability to operate various pieces of equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.• Strong work ethic and attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.• Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks requiring bending, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed during peak seasons.Benefits:• Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience.• Opportunity for overtime hours during peak seasons.• Complimentary meals provided during shifts.• Access to employee golfing privileges.• Training and development opportunities to expand skills and advance within the organization.• Enjoyment of a scenic outdoor work environment on a beautiful golf course.Date Job is Available:• April 1, 2024How to Apply:If you are ready to join our dynamic team and contribute to the maintenance of Lubbock Country Club, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your qualifications and interest in the position.
