Michael Thames, 19th Century Guitar, Pons model, Built in 2014, Seriel # 867, Scale Length 630mm, Nut width 50mm, all Solid Woods, modeled after an original Pons 19thcentury guitar that Michael Thames had in his shop. He has built a few of these among his other classicals. Michael is a world known prolific Luthier.Italian Spruce top, Flamed Maple back and sides, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard, Rosewood bridge and headstock overlay and Purfling. The top has a bit of Bears Claw figuring. Pegheds.com tuners that look like traditional Pegs but operate mechanically and work perfectly. Strung with Aquila Ambra 2000 light strings. Condition is Excellant very minor signs of having been played. It has been kept in a stable temperature/ humidity. The action is setup perfect, 3.5 mm at 12th fret for the 6th string and 2.5 mm at the 12th fret for the 1st string. Plays very comfortably with easy action, no buzzing. Sounds great, projection is amazing for a smaller guitar. Available to purchase to the USA lower 48 states only. Free shipping included to lower 48 USA states only, signature required.
