Dorchester County Public Schools invites applications for the following position: Masonry Secondary Teacher Pool School Year: 2024-2025 Location: Dorchester School of Technology Job Description: Dorchester County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a potential Professional and Technical Education: Masonry 7-12 Teacher for the school year 2024-2025. Working under the direction of the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education Supervisor, this position assists in the delivery of the masonry programs in high schools by providing the strategies, resources, and instruction that will increase student proficiency on local, state, and college board assessments. Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalency; Be eligible for a Maryland State Department of Education Professional teaching certificate in Professional and Technical Education: Masonry 7-12 within two (2) or four (4) years, depending on necessary credits; Able to operate equipment/machinery as needed in the instruction of the trade; Knowledge of Dorchester County Public Schools curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, Dorchester County Public Schools policies, and effective instructional practice; Able to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, staff, students, parents, and the community; Have excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
