The Creditors’ Rights Attorney will play a vital role in assisting financial institutions navigate through commercial loan defaults, loan restructuring, and associated litigation. Strong academic background, ethical standards, and outstanding analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Duties:Provide legal counsel and representation to financial institutions in matters related to commercial loan defaultsAssist in loan restructuring negotiationsHandle associated litigation, including foreclosure proceedings and debt collectionConduct legal research and analysis to support case strategiesDraft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreementsRepresent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrationsCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholdersProvide strategic advice to clients regarding creditors’ rights laws and regulationsStay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends Requirements:5+ years of experience practicing law, preferably in creditors’ rights or related fieldJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Ohio State Bar, in good standingStrong academic credentials, including law school GPA and class rank Desired Skills and Qualifications:Experience working with financial institutions or creditorsFamiliarity with commercial lending practices and loan documentationProven ability to manage complex legal matters and prioritize tasks effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong negotiation and advocacy skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Founded in 1945, this firm serves clients in the practice areas of Health Care, Energy and Public Utilities, Financial Services and Insurance, and the Public Sector.
