We thought the name was very fitting because he is reminiscent of a big ol' oak tree...a sturdy, solid, steadfast giant. Oakley is a little timid in new situations but is happy to receive pets and attention from humans even when he first meets them. He will roll over on his side to press his head into your hand to be sure you keep scratching his chin or the side of his face. Sometimes, he gets so happy to receive affection that he will even drool just a tiny bit...LOL! Oakley is a gentle guy calmly observing his environment as he lays in a sunny spot patiently waiting for his human friends to share a bit of the day with him. We do not know much about Oakley's past. He was previously neutered and his ear was tipped. He was surrendered to a local animal control facility as a stray. We do know that he must have been cared for deeply at some point because he has so much love to share.
