Nena T is a healthy, social pup with a playful spirit who came to Thulani after her long-time owner passed away. Nena loves to be around people and will bond tightly. She is also totally fine alone at home if you need to go out for the day. Nena is well behaved, has had obedience training and responds to a large number of commands including sit, heel and quiet. She gets along with other dogs after careful introduction and occasionally needs an initial adjustment period. Her ideal doggie sibling would be a larger, male dog. She is curious about cats and gets a little excited when she sees them, however she has never lived with one, so a slow introduction would be needed. Nena seems much younger than her age. She will come to your home with a supply of food, a cushy pad if wanted, and other goodies such as toys. All dogs pass a set of evaluation tests before being accepted into TSGSR. The tests are not intended to assess how smart the dog is but are important for TSGSR to determine if the dog is expected to be safe in a family home. The tested behaviors check to see if the dog will guard or protect food or toys from people, will tolerate handling all over its body (including ears, nose, lips to check teeth, lifting paws, belly, back, and gently pulling the tail). This dog remained calm during all of these tests and showed no aggressive tendencies.##1773906##
