Scooter is our adorable, charming and protective office buddy at Jelly's Place! Scooter was rescued by Jelly's Place after being hit by a car in the Central Valley, without use of his back legs. He has been treated by our vet and had some pretty serious fractures to his lower spine, which will most likely keep his lower legs paralyzed. That said, Scooter has no idea he is disabled and thinks he is perfect just the way he is. He is very energetic and can run very fast without the use of his back legs! Scooter is very people friendly, and with other dogs can initially be standoffish but then warms up. He has many different office dog buddies during his time with us. Though we love having Scooter as part of the team, he deserves to have his very own family to love and be loved by. The perfect home for Scooter would be a quiet home, adults/older kids, with a nice soft yard where he can play and chase squirrels. He would be fine with another small to medium dog. We hope to have Scooter fitted with back wheels soon and then he'll have a blast going on neighborhood walks! Scooter is truly a love bug with so much heart. We can't wait for him to find his furever home! Scooter is neutered, UTD on vaccines and microchipped.
