Job Description WJAC is hiring an Engineering Technician! Come be a part of our team!As an Engineering Technician, Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Provide support for broadcast systems as well as support and management of Servers, Network Security and Network Services. * Support for transmission systems, be familiar with tall towers, awareness of FCC rules and procedures * Assist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenance. * Develop knowledge of facility specific IT/broadcast needs and assist in supporting those systems. * Apply regular updates to broadcast and IT systems. Requirements: * Associates degree or higher in electronics or computer related field preferred. * A great team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality. * Familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems a plus. * Knowledge and competency in broadcast systems, computer system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance. * Proficiency in troubleshooting problems and responding quickly under pressure.Excellent communication skills. * Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. * Familiarity with Avid related software and hardware products a plus. Physical Demands/Work Environment: * Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed. * On-Call duty, including weekends and holidays. * Ability to handle small tools and lift equipment generally less than 50 pounds.
