Conn 32h Burkle-designed trombone. Professional grade instrument. Slide bore - 0.500"/0.522" dual bore slide. (The addage used by trombonists is that "it blows like the top slide, sounds like the bottom" - so, feels like a small bore, but sounds like a medium bore). Slide has been professionally widened by using a bigger main slide crook. This makes the instrument more comfortable to hold than stock, where the slide is too narrow. 7" bell, all yellow brass. Wrap on neck pipe can be removed, it isn't hiding any damage. The entire instrument has been restored recently, so the lacquer looks new even though this is probably a ~90 year old instrument. Fully functional and ready to play. Uses small bore mouthpiece, not included. Has old style brass Conn counterweight (prior to the chrome CONN design weight). Slide is good when lubed. Fun horn to play. Because of the dual bore, this can be used for everything from any tenor chair in jazz band to lead or second in concert band to orchestral lead trombone, and even brass quintet, church groups, jazz combos, etc. 32h was popular in lead and solo parts in the 30's and 40's. Trombones designed by Burkle were famous for quick snappy articulations, great high range, and a classic Conn sound.
