Fast Response Help Desk Engineer We are looking to fill this role in DeKalb, IL as an addition to our Services Team. Your day to day Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customization of MS Office Suite applications per customer's preferences Configure file, print and remote access services Administration, including add/remove users and groups, configure file permissions, check event logs, configure and restore from backup Backup Maintenance Ability to provide accurate time estimates for how long a task will take Ability to quickly learn new technologies through the use of self-study materials and intuition Heling shape the client experience On-site / Remote service Documentation of client networks Training clients on basic IT, security, and productivity best practices Finding Business IT solutions Your experience Experience required with Windows desktop operating systems Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting Internet connectivity Experience with routers and firewalls Experience with Terminal Services Understanding of relationship between switches, patch panels and connecting nodes to a network Understanding of DNS services Working Knowledge of Non-Cisco Firewall Technologies - SonicWALL, Linksys, NetGear Working Knowledge of Wireless Technologies What we do for you At Sundog we prioritize our employees’ personal and professional development, offering best in class training, mentorship, and opportunities for growth through our self-promotion paths.
