Meet Cody (June 2023) While he is a puppy, Cody is a very well mannered, mature boy!! He’s very sweet, cuddly, gentle, friendly, and VERY smart! Cody aims to please his people; he learns and follows commands pretty quickly. He loves people, and is gentle with younger children. He is also wonderful with other dogs. (We are not sure about cats.) Cody is believed to be a Golden Retriever (possibly Hound) Mix. His estimated date of birth is December 22, 2022. At present he’s a tall, lanky boy, weighing about 26 lbs. It is most important to note that we cannot be 100% sure of his adult weight, but our best guess is about 60-65 lbs. His potential adopter MUST understand that his adult size is not known, and MUST be accepting of Cody regardless of how large or small he may become. An ideal family for Cody is one able and willing to make the commitment of time, attention, and energy into working with and training him to be his best self! Breed experience (Retriever) is a big plus. A fenced yard is ideal as is another younger or middle-aged pup in the family. Cody is crate-trained and is working on good house manners (housebreaking). He is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. His neuter is included in his adoption fee.
