Greetings. My name is Canela. I just took a DNA test and it turns out I am 50% cute and 50% ears and who can argue with science right? I was surrendered to the shelter because I became overprotective of my space and started showing aggression towards strangers. I am a very sweet girl once I warm up to you but it does take some time. I have made some strides with that since I came to the shelter. Because of this I will do best with a family who is willing to give me time and patience to feel safe and comfortable again. Don't let my short stature fool for you. I am a good walking buddy with the cutest wiggle butt. Yes I am dog selective but you see it more when I am in the shelter then when I am walking.. I am a good girl if you give me that chance. I know my basic commands and I love to play. I may even be able to live with another dog as long as it is a male. Can you please give me that patience and love I deserve? Nothing would make me happier.
